How It Works

Learn how Gaia works, from creating a free account and verifying eligibility to exploring opportunities and managing investments.
THE INVESTOR JOURNEY

From discovery to ownership, in one place.

Gaia brings the main parts of private investing into one platform. Each opportunity has its own terms, eligibility requirements, risks, and investment process, but the experience generally follows these five steps.

Discover opportunities

Review opportunities by asset type, investment strategy, minimum investment, expected holding period, eligibility, and other offering-specific information.

Make your investment

Choose an eligible opportunity, review the final investment documents, and complete the required funding or commitment process.

Track your holdings

After investing, use your Gaia account to access available reporting, documents, updates, distributions, tax materials, and other information related to your holdings.

BEFORE YOU INVEST

A few things are different in private markets.

Private investments are not the same as buying a publicly traded stock. Before participating, investors should understand eligibility, holding periods, and the risks specific to each opportunity.

Eligibility varies

Some opportunities may be available only to certain investors based on accreditation status, jurisdiction, offering structure, or other requirements.

GAIA GUIDES THE PROCESS

Your account will show the verification steps required for opportunities you want to access.

Expect longer holding periods

Private investments can remain illiquid for years. There may be restrictions on transfers, and a secondary buyer may not always be available.

CHECK THE TERMS FIRST

Review the expected holding period and transfer restrictions before committing capital.

Every investment carries risk

Private businesses and real estate can lose value. Performance, income, appreciation, distributions, and liquidity are never guaranteed.

REVIEW THE FULL OFFERING

Understand the economics, structure, fees, sponsor, risks, and documents before making an investment decision.

You must be signed in to view opportunities.

Active investment opportunities are available to signed-in users so Gaia can present offering information alongside the applicable investor eligibility and jurisdiction requirements.
